What's up etherland?

So I don't know if anyone will ever read this, but I'm a little bored so I'll write it.

After college, I'm just kickin' it. Working for the opera, looking for my next job. Sounds like fun huh...

I have discovered Scrubbing Bubbles...

This stuff is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know how I have lived without it! I don't know how my mom has gone without it raising four kids! My shower/tub was disgusting, if mom saw it she would have shot me and wondered how she ever let me out of the house. You just spray it on and chill for a few minutes and then wipe it off.

So anyways.... I have had a very nice day today. I got up and spent time with Ben, we went grocery shopping and then had lunch. After I dropped him off from class I finished a skirt, made a skirt, made a rice hot pad, and worked on my Christmas tree skirt (which is being a pain in the butt....) then Ben and I went on a date and watched a movie. He went to bed and I cleaned :)

I hope all is well with you all. Does anyone read this?

Hello, everybody!

I figured I should probably add something to this little shindig. It's almost the end of the semester and my bachelor's degree. Wow. That's a little strange to think about. All of the sudden I feel old...

Anyway, things are progressing nicely. After this I go to Logan for the summer to work for the opera company and regroup. By the way, I'm still looking for good employment at the end of the summer, if you guys know of anything, let me know.

For some reason I have been wanting to make things a lot lately.... I made the Torkelson Home thing and the book. I am also finishing my Christmas tree skirt and working on two A-line skirts for myself.
I work at Wal-Mart in the apparel department but sometimes I work over in fabrics and crafts when they go to lunch or something. Tonight I worked over there and I decided that I really want to learn how to make a quilt. Nothing really fancy or anything just a nice simple quilt.
I have also have recently rediscovered a desire to learn the art of photography...... especially black and white..... weird huh?

This is a thing I made. I was in an incredibly crafty mood the other night and felt like making something so I went to Wal Mart and bought the stuff to make it and made it! I have defiantly decided that my calling in life is not a painter! You can't really see it in the picture but the letters are kind of messy. I printed the letters of and traced them into the wood then just hand painted it. I had a lot of fun making it.

These are pictures of the book that I made! For a Relief Society activity they showed us how to make a book. This is a really simple one. I hand sewed it and everything! I also decorated the front!

I clean at night....

So I have this thing about cleaning at night. I clean so much better at night than I do during the day! I came home from work at 11:15 pm said hi to Ben who was sort of sleeping and then started cleaning. I unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher, washed pots & pans, cleaned the inside and outside of the microwave, cleaned the stove, wiped down the counters, cleaned behind the fridge, cleaned out the trash can (gross in there!), swept and moped the floors after I had cleared off the entire floor! All that only took about 2 hours. Who does all of that this late at night?! I am happy, I am listening to Pandora.com and trying to decide whether or not to clean out the inside of the fridge........

So this is Ben and I at Seaside Oregon. I am trying to figure out what I can do on this thing......

So I've decided

So for some reason I feel like starting a blog. I have been thinking that I am far from home, Nikol is far from home, we are growing up and maybe blogging would be a good way to keep track of the family as we grow up and move up in the world.
So I have tried to set this up so that Ben and I will both blog, which means I will blog and maybe Ben will sometimes get on and say something...... :) Anyways it should be interesting.
